In an interview, he tells us why BEMA decided on a massage chair for its employees, what health-promoting considerations lie behind it and how this measure was received.


Employee satisfaction was one of the reasons for purchasing one massage chair led, why?

There are of course several reasons, but employee satisfaction was definitely the deciding factor. It is a central element of a successful company and it is also clear to us at BEMA that a satisfied employee is also more valuable from an economic perspective. It's important to us that our employees come to work motivated and don't start thinking longingly about finishing work early in the morning.

As an employer, you have to contribute something and benefits like a massage chair are a great opportunity to do something good for employees on several levels. On the one hand for physical well-being and on the other hand for mental well-being.

As a managing director, I know the situation and the stress that comes with spending hours in the office or in the car. We are also a family business and are therefore on the front line, so to speak, and directly affected by the working conditions - so there is really no reason not to deal with it. Both the appreciative aspect and that of employee health are optimally served.


Looking back, was the massage chair for employees worth it?

Definitely. As a company, we must first and foremost be economical. This works best with motivated employees who deliver top performance every day. Whether in logistics, purchasing, accounting, service or order processing - if an employee feels comfortable, then the work is going well.

And when things get a little too much, breaks are an excellent way to realign yourself, recharge your batteries, get a new perspective on things and then get back to it.

But it's often the case that even during breaks, work topics are still present and you can't really focus on relaxation and recovery. A massage chair like this helps a lot.

This is also confirmed by our employees, who gratefully accept it, use it frequently and really see it as an appreciation from the company. Cake and coffee are always available in offices - but a full body massage like this is a whole lot better.

The massage chair is also available to all employees and makes sense. While some colleagues spend eight hours at their desk, our field staff can drive several hundred kilometers in a day.

They too welcome the comfort of a relaxing back massage at the end of a long day.

Another aspect that makes purchasing a massage chair worthwhile from a company perspective is the funding opportunity within the framework of company health promotion and, of course, the tax advantages.

The incentives for companies to actively do something for employees are clearly there and just have to be used.


The first path led to the massage chair world - what experiences did BEMA have here?


When we first looked into the topic and started researching, there was no way around you. Very present online with a friendly appearance, we immediately arranged a consultation appointment. Michael Roedeske's advice can be summarized as highly professional.

During the consultation, they took over an hour of time for me to answer all my questions and also to give me a helpful overview of the wide range of products on offer. Michael is clearly a specialist who is leading his industry and knows exactly what he is talking about.

This is particularly noticeable in the fact that he knows how to work out the individual added value, expectations and needs of his customers in a pleasant way. It wasn't a classic sales pitch, but you had the feeling that it was very benevolent. Simply a great experience, with the result that a massage chair definitely had to come to our office.

And so it happened and the professionalism continued with the delivery.
